Where it all started
Hopewell Education foundation – which will be referred to as HEF in this document was founded in January 2020 by Mr. JE Ngobese and Mr. NB Gebashe.
The two gentlemen decided to form a foundation after having worked together some couple of years back when Mr. NB Gebashe was still a student. The success of Mr. Gebashe in what was then “the one-on-one mentorship programme” in guiding his engineering career from tertiary institution to ultimately work environment.
After almost 20 years since the above-mentioned mentorship, we looked around and noticed the lack thereof of youth development in our community and decided to do something and hence the birth of Hopewell (Ithemb’elihle in isiZulu) Education Foundation.
